Here's what units have to say about Floodwood!

Did the trek meet your expectations?

Absolutely. The trek was well designed and planned. The voyager executed it excellently, also being flexible to accommodate what our crew was looking for. The in-camp program on Friday (rock climbing and tubing) was a blast. The scouts and adults appreciated the staff and experience.

How was the food in camp and on trek?
Excellent. Food was one of the most surprising and impressive parts of the week. Camp food was the best camp food I’ve ever had. On the trek, the meals were great and snacks a nice touch.

Comments you would like to share with the Camp Director:

Dave is running a top notch program here. From the first time he came to a troop meeting to tell us about the program, through the entire week - this camp operates at a level above all others I have experienced. Bravo!

"Thank you so much to the entire camp staff for their help and support with making this a reality. All have had a great experience, many do not want to leave. Some I am sure will return."

What do you think of our in-camp program?

"It was quite good. I loved the tubing and found it so fun and exhilarating. I haven't done something like that before. The program building with the pool table, etc. is really relaxing and a very nice place to hang out, especially after a long trek."

Describe the strengths and weaknesses of your Voyager.

"He is a very wise man and taught us about how to canoe, how to use a stove and water filter, efficiently make a fire, set up camp, and sort out priorities. He is an excellent guide: giving us space to navigate. No weaknesses, to be honest. Probably the nicest leader I have ever met."
